Board of Education

In August, the League, in partnership with PTACHC, conducted interviews with all six candidates for the 2012 Board of Education race at the Miller Library in Ellicott City. Each candidate was sent three questions in advance and encouraged to spend five minutes answering each question. League member and former PTACHC President, Chaun Hightower served as a moderator/facilitator, but the focus was on letting the candidates explain who they are, what they care about, and how they think.

The League also conducted interviews with the majority of the 2012 Congressional Candidatesat the Miller Library in Ellicott City. Each candidate was sent three questions in advance and encouraged to spend five minutes answering each question. League members Alice Giles and Sarah Husain served as a moderator/facilitator, but the focus was on letting the candidates explain who they are, what they care about, and how they think.
